‘Fahamika’ is a Swahili word which means ‘empowering oneself with knowledge’. Within the wider region the word will evoke first and foremost a sense of dialogue and thirst for information and insight. The project evolves fostering peace and cohesion among vulnerable communities in Kenya who live in conflict regions. The FAHAMIKA upholds the rule of law in all its operations, at all times, as well as recognize the laws and regulations of individual partners and respect their authority. Wazee wa Busara radio shows are programmes of Fahamika Trust in partnership with key stakeholders, collaborating with 15 media houses.
